Call for Papers for JSIEN

The Journal of the Society of Internationally Educated Nurses (JSIEN) invites submissions for upcoming issues. JSIEN is a peer‑reviewed, international journal that serves as a global platform for scholarship by and about internationally educated nurses (IENs). The journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge, amplifying diverse nursing voices, and fostering excellence in nursing practice, education, leadership, and research worldwide.

JSIEN seeks high‑quality scholarly and practice‑focused contributions that highlight the unique experiences, expertise, and perspectives of internationally educated nurses across global contexts.

 

Focus and Scope


The journal welcomes manuscripts that address topics relevant to internationally educated nurses, including—but not limited to—the following areas:

 

Experiences of internationally educated nurses in global healthcare systems

Nursing education, curriculum innovation, and faculty development

Professional integration, regulation, and licensure of IENs

Workforce mobility, migration, and ethics

Equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally safe care

Leadership, mentorship, and career advancement

Clinical practice innovations and evidence‑based care

Health policy and system‑level impacts related to IENs

Research methodologies relevant to global and migrant nursing populations

 

Submissions from IENs, nurse educators, researchers, leaders, policymakers, and collaborators working with or alongside IEN communities are strongly encouraged.
