ABOUT US

The inaugural executive board at SIENNA has worked tirelessly to launch and promote our cause of creating a community of internationally educated nurses (IENs) in North America to help those nurses globally who plan to migrate in this region. Not all IENs have  the benefit of having a mentor, support, and network to help them navigate the complex process of migrating and practicing their profession outside of their country of education. SIENNA was created to welcome, connect, and support all IENs in this journey.

While there are existing professional associations for IENs, there are still many nurses coming from different countries who do not have representation because of non-existing professional organization from their respective ethnic groups.
The birth of the Society of Internationally Educated Nurses in North America (SIENNA) is a much needed step to bind all IENs regardless of their race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, or country of origin.
