April 6, 2026 — Austin, TX — The Society of Internationally Educated Nurses (SIENNA Nursing Society) is proud to announce that applications for the prestigious Fellowship of the Society of Internationally Educated Nurses (FSIEN), Class of 2026, will officially open on April 6, 2026.



The FSIEN represents the highest distinction awarded to internationally educated nurses and allied professionals. This honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated sustained excellence and measurable impact across key domains, including leadership, education, advocacy, diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and scholarship.


The fellowship celebrates trailblazers whose work strengthens the integration, visibility, and global influence of internationally educated nurses within healthcare systems worldwide. FSIEN fellows exemplify the highest standards of professional leadership while contributing meaningful scholarly advancements that shape the future of nursing.


Applicants will undergo a rigorous and comprehensive review process, including detailed dossier evaluation and a viva voce (oral examination), aligned with the FSIEN LEADS competencies framework.
