FSIEN Fellowship: Advancing, Recognizing, and Celebrating IEN Excellence Worldwide

Barrington, NJ – The Society of Internationally Educated Nurses in North America (SIENNA) is proud to announce the launch of the Fellowship of the Society of Internationally Educated Nurses (FSIEN)™, the premier recognition for internationally educated nurses (IENs) and allies. FSIEN honors leaders who have demonstrated exceptional contributions in Leadership, Education, Advocacy, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice, and Scholarship (LEADS) to advance immigrant nurses across North America and the globe.

IENs are essential to the global healthcare workforce, yet their leadership and contributions are too often undervalued. FSIEN was created to formally recognize, credential, and elevate IEN excellence. The Fellowship provides not only a credential but also a global platform for IENs to mentor, teach, advocate, and shape the future of healthcare leadership.

“Through FSIEN, IENs gain recognition as leaders, advocates, and scholars transforming healthcare worldwide,” said Dr. Paul Biluan, President of SIENNA.

Successful applicants will earn the right to use the post-nominal title FSIEN, receive public induction at SIENNA’s Annual Conference, and gain opportunities to serve as mentors, reviewers, and consultants for the integration and advancement of IENs globally.

📅 Applications Open: September 15, 2025

🏆 First Cohort Awards Ceremony: November 15, 2025 at the 1st Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) Conference in Orlando, Florida.
